The Boonesboro Lions Club annual fish fry will be Saturday at the club house on Ford-Hampton Road from 1 to 6 p.m. Dinners are $9 at the door, or $8 in advance, and include fish, cole slaw, hush puppies and french fries. Children ages 3-12 eat for $3.

Fish fry set Danville's Masonic Lodge will have a spring fish fry 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday. The menu includes hand-breaded fish, coleslaw, country style green beans, corn on the cob, fresh-cut fries, hush puppies, banana pudding, coffee, tea and lemonade. Everyone is welcome.  Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12 years old.   Seminar will be Monday U.S. Bank will host a Social Security seminar 6 p.m. Monday in the Boyle County Public Library community room.

Main Street curbs to be washed tonight At midnight tonight, Public Works personnel will power wash the sidewalk curb area of Main Street between Second and Fourth streets. Anyone who parks his vehicle in this area should make alternative arrangements tonight.   Fish fry planned for Saturday Cedar Creek Sportsman Club will host a crappie fish fry on Saturday. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the meal will be served at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12, and children ages 4 and younger may eat free.

New minister of youth at First Christian Church Roger Jasper has been named minister of youth and children at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Jasper is married to the former Jessica Singleton and is the son of C. Brian and Scarlette Jasper, all of Somerset. The Jaspers have two children, a 3-year-old son, Paul, and a 9-week-old daughter, Anna. Roger grew up in Somerset and graduated from Southwestern High School in 2002. In 2006 he graduated from Georgetown College with a double major in religion and philosophy.

TODAY - The Adult/Youth Nine Pin League bowling league will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Forest Park Bowling Center. This league has four person teams, which must consist of at least one adult and one child. - The George Rogers Clark High School marching band will be performing their 2008-2009 marching show, "In Search Of...," at 6 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium. A potluck will follow the event. The public is invited to attend. - Winchester Rotary Club meeting at 12 p.m. at the Winchester Country Club.
