STANFORD - A Kings Mountain woman whose husband has pleaded guilty to incest is expected to plead guilty to charges she was complicit in her husband's actions. A trial for Rhonda Robinson, 47, was scheduled to begin Monday, but Lincoln Circuit Clerk Teresa Reed said the trial was canceled after Robinson decided to make a plea. Robinson and her husband, Timothy, were indicted in October on charges Timothy Robinson had sex with a 15-year-old girl. Timothy Robinson initially faced four counts of incest, four counts of unlawful transaction with a minor and one count of using a minor in a sexual performance.

STANFORD - A Waynesburg man accused of rape and incest has had his trial rescheduled after a motion to suppress admissions he made to police was denied. Phillip Oney, of 100 N. Railroad St., faces charges of incest, first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree rape. In December 2005, Oney allegedly had "deviate sexual intercourse" and "sexual intercourse … through the use of forcible compulsion" with a girl under the age of 12 who is related to him, according to the indictment.

Tapp has scheduled a trial for Rhonda Robinson, 47, to begin 9 a.m. March 25. Robinson and her husband, Timothy, were indicted in October on charges Timothy Robinson had sex with a 15-year-old girl. Detectives are investigating the case of a teenage girl who was allegedly raped by a relative Thanksgiving night. Corbit Tolson, 61, of 356 Hill St., was arrested late Thursday night for rape, incest and fourth-degree assault after the girl was taken to Clark Regional Medical Center. The girl told Detective Brian Caudill of the Clark County Sheriff's Office that Tolson drove her to a location on Paris Road between 8 and 9 p.m. Thursday. "She accused him of driving her out there and using physical force to have sexual intercourse with her," Caudill said.

After being found competent to stand trial Thursday afternoon, Corbit Tolson pleaded guilty to incest and assault. Tolson, 61, of 356 Hill St., entered his plea following a competency hearing in Clark Circuit Court. His attorney, Scott West, said Tolson pleaded guilty to single counts of incest and fourth-degree assault, which is a misdemeanor. The plea agreement, which followed a 30-minute competency hearing, recommends a 12-year prison sentence, West said. Tolson is scheduled to be sentenced April 9 by Circuit Judge Jean Chenault Logue.

After months of complaints about his case and his attorney, an Indiana man pleaded guilty to incest and bail jumping charges Friday morning. After telling Circuit Judge Julia Hylton Adams he had no intentions of representing himself in future legal matters, he asked his attorney if a 13-year plea offer was still on the table from prosecutors. After waiving the presentence investigation, he was sentenced immediately to 12 years for incest, one year for second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor and one year for bail-jumping.

Trials were set Thursday for a pair charged with physically abusing a 3-week-old child and another man for incest, as he tried again to dump his public defender. Curtis Reece, 45 of Trafalgar, Ind., was indicted a year ago on one count each of incest, second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor and being a persistent felony offender. During his second consecutive appearance before Judge Julia Hylton Adams Thursday in Clark Circuit Court, Reece again expressed his displeasure with his court-appointed attorney, Lida Baharestan, claiming his case was not being properly investigated and that his attorney was interviewing his witnesses, rather than the investigator.

STANFORD - A Waynesburg man accused of rape and incest is scheduled to plead guilty to amended charges on Friday. Phillip Oney, of 100 N. Railroad St., was indicted in February for incest, first-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse. According to the indictment, Oney allegedly had "deviate sexual intercourse" and "sexual intercourse … through the use of forcible compulsion" with a girl under the age of 12 who is related to him. According to court documents, Kentucky State Police Detective Michael Keeton said Oney admitted to the allegations against him. Oney's attorney Jonathan Baker is scheduled to make a motion before Circuit Judge David Tapp on Friday to allow Oney to plead guilty to three counts of first-degree sexual abuse.

STANFORD - A Lincoln County grand jury has indicted a Waynesburg man for incest, first-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse. Phillip G. Oney, of 100 N. Railroad St., allegedly had sex with a girl he knew was his granddaughter in December 2005, according to the indictment. The girl was less than 12 years old when Oney allegedly had "deviate sexual intercourse" and "sexual intercourse … through the use of forcible compulsion" with her, the indictment reads. Kentucky State Police Detective Michael Keeton testified against Oney, but KSP was unable to provide further details on the case.

Robinson, 34, of 1120 Ky. 1778, has been charged with four counts of incest with a female under 18 he knew to be a family member, one count of using a minor under 16 in a sexual performance and four counts of first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor under 16. Rhonda Robinson, 47, has been charged with nine counts of complicity to the charges against her husband.

A Winchester man was sentenced to a dozen years in prison Thursday afternoon, two months after he was found competent to stand trial. Corbit Tolson Jr., 61 of 356 Hill St., pleaded guilty in March to incest and fourth-degree assault charges. He said nothing during Thursday's sentencing hearing before Clark Circuit Judge Jean Chenault Logue. Tolson was arrested Thanksgiving night after a teenage female told sheriff's detectives that Tolson drove her to a place on Paris Road where he had intercourse with her using physical force.
