Corrections - A short item published on the Web Thursday about an upcoming story on Coroner David Jacobs being arrested for indecent exposure may have been incorrect in stating that the charge was a second offense. The court record says it is indencent exposure, first-degree, second offense within three years of first conviction. But a handwritten note on the record says he pleaded not guilty to indecent exposure, first offense, second degree, on June 18. Also, a reporter was unable to find any record in online court records of a prior charge or conviction.

A 70-year-old man may face a three-year diverted sentence, rather than five years in prison, after pleading guilty to charges of sexual misconduct, indecent exposure and wanton endangerment. Donald Parido, of Springfield, would not serve any jail time if the plea agreement offered Thursday is accepted by Clark Circuit Judge William Clouse at the sentencing hearing in December. Parido, who uses a walker, has been on house arrest in recent months. He was arrested in January following a series of incidents where he allegedly tried to touch two girls between their legs and tried to get a third girl to touch his genitals during a period of four days.
