Dear Editor, Our judicial system is not designed to help or protect the innocent victims, only those who break the law. My parked car was hit on Easter Sunday in the Wal-Mart parking lot. I contacted the county attorney's office to get an explanation as to how the system was going to help me collect for damages. I was told to submit the paperwork, and the process would go from there. I would be subpoenaed when the case went to trial, they said. That did not happen. Later, before trial, I contacted the judge's office twice, only to be told he was either in court all day or he was out for the day. The same story went when contacting the county attorney.

Gray gave credit for the award to all the teachers and staff she works with, as most of her services to the pool of more than 1,000 students have to be delivered indirectly.
