Items removed from the graves include flowers and, more recently, a “heavy, large metal cross” that had been embedded into the ground, leading the person to believe that whoever took the cross had to apply a reasonable amount of effort.

Just before midnight Tuesday, Dr. Steven Hall was found guilty by a Boyle County jury of manslaughter second degree. Hall, a Harrodsburg physician, is accused of running over his wife, Isabel Lynn Hall, with a pontoon boat near Gwinn Island on Herrington Lake in May 2009. He has remained in the Boyle County Detention Center under a $2 million bond since his arrest. According to reporter Todd Kleffman, who reported from the courthouse on an amnews.com blog, the jury convicted Hall on the manslaughter charge, rather than murder or reckless homicide, because it believed he acted wantonly, resulting in the death of his wife.
