LANCASTER - Lancaster Fire Chief Richard Sebastian invited members of Hazmat 12, a group based in Somerset, to attend Monday's City Council meeting, bringing with them equipment and vehicles to show councilmembers the capabilities offered. “When I go out on a run, it is my responsibility, and I have to make quick decisions,” Sebastian said, stressing that he wants the option to call the response team of his choosing, and that he wants that team to be Hazmat 12. He explained the city has connections to Hazmat 12 in Somerset, as Lancaster Police Officer Ryan Hughes has been trained at the Pulaski County facility and is an instructor.
