The evolution of The Interior Journal website continues. If you've been to www.theinteriorjournal.com in the last week or so, you've probably noticed a big logo at the top of the page that says FindItKy.com. That's our new local search engine. It's pretty cool. It lets you search for anything you want right here in the Stanford-Danville area. It also gives all of our local businesses the chance to connect with their potential customers. You can think of it as an online Yellow Pages.

My first bike wasn't red. It was black with a bananna seat. It was a hand-me-down from my older brother who rode it. My memories of that old bike revolve around bike races through the neighborhood when my family lived at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii (we lived there from 1977 to 1981 when my dad was stationed there). My buddies, John Jones, Alan Farmer, and Eric Walsh, and I spent countless hours racing around our world, known simply as Lepe Lepe Circle. We spent countless days and hours racing our bikes, jockeying for position with one another and wiping out on the asphalt receiving the numerous scraps and cuts associated with bike racing.

After weeks of basketball, (great job to all of the Jessamine County teams), spring is finally here, and as always I am thrilled about the warm weather and budding trees. I'm the type of person that gets miserable sitting down for more than an hour. Nothing kills my energy more than a long day at a desk. That's why heading out to cover baseball games, track and field meets and tennis matches is enjoyable. Nothing beats leaving the office early in the afternoon to go watch sports.
