Karla Hickerson Darnall of Lexington and Jeffrey Allen Darnall of Ewing, Ky., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Kathleen Darnall, to Gilbert “Buddy” Blades III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert “Sonny” Blades Jr. of Nicholasville. The wedding will take place Saturday, July 2, at Boone’s Creek Baptist Church in Lexington. The couple will reside in Lexington.

Ola Huff Durkin, 93, widow of Maurice K. Durkin, died Tuesday at Fountain Circle Health and Rehabilitation in Winchester.   She was born in Powell County on Sept. 30, 1917, to the late John and Eva Huff. Durkin was a graduate of Camargo High School in Montgomery County and Fugazzi Business College. She was a unit sales leader for Stanley Home Products and member of the Pilot Club. She was a long-time member of Grace Baptist Church in Lexington.   Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Barbara)

ANABELLE REESE MOORE Mason and Christina Moore of Lexington announce the birth of their daughter, Anabelle Reese Moore. She was born March 31 at St. Joseph East in Lexington. Mary Frances Stokely, 80, of Lexington, passed away Nov. 24 at her home in Lexington. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Leonard) Joseph of Lexington. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road, Lexington. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Lexington.

Attendants were Krista Mason and Elizabeth Leatherman, both of Lexington; Whitney Steele of Nashville, Tenn.; and April Van Epps of Indiana. Flowergirls were Mary Helen Hill of Louisville and Kirsten Mason of Lexington. Kirk May of Lexington was best man. Groomsmen were Brad Husz, Greg Mason, Jason Withrow and John Wainscott, all of Lexington.

Judy Ann Howard, 52, of Ft. Myers, Fla., formerly of Winchester, passed away at her home on March 19, 2013, after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Billie Jo Byrd Howard. A new person may soon be facing charges from a 2011 home invasion that left one gunman and the resident dead.
