HUSTONVILLE - A Hustonville teenager was injured Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash on Ky. 198 west of Middleburg, state police said. Dara M. Vaught, 17, was treated for injuries at Casey County Hospital. She was driving east when her 2001 Dodge left the roadway and struck a fence. She was wearing a seat belt.

Dallas Ray Rayborn, 46, of Lancaster,  died Tuesday, June 12 in Louisville.  Born June 27, 1965, in Casey County, Dallas was a son of the late Harold and Shirley Rayborn. He was a farmer. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Glancy Harold Rayborn. Survivors include his girlfriend, Elizabeth "Shortie" Simpson of Lancaster; two sons, Justin and Richard Rayborn of Lancaster; three brothers, Todd (Sharon) and Junior (Katie) Rayborn both of Middleburg and Scottie (Becky)

Carrie Denise Shelley and Zachary Charles Dunn were married Saturday, Nov. 18 at Pleasant View Baptist Church by Bro. Kerry Jones. Ashley Shelley, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Patterson of Middleburg, Kristi Barnett of Stanford, and Natalie Akers of Richmond. Flowergirl was Ashley Barnett of Stanford. Jason Lamb of Berea was Best Man. Groomsmen were Shaun Hays of Gray Hawk. Willie Carney of Tyner, and Ryan Clements of Berea. Marcus Patterson of Middleburg served as ssher and ring bearer was Caleb Adams of Waynesburg.

Adrianna Marie Hendrix, the daughter of Astarra Price and Thomas Hendrix of Crab Orchard, was born Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the Fort Logan Hospital at 7:20 p.m. She weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces and measured 20 inches at birth. Maternal grandmother is Angela Price of Morral, Ohio. Paternal grandparents are Judy K. and Dennis Hendrix of Hyden. Great grandparents are Jackie and Frances Price of Middleburg.

Adam Manuel Rosario, 22 weeks, was born and died Thursday, June 5 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.  He was the son of Lindsay Rayborn and Jose Rosario of Middleburg.  Other survivors include his maternal grandparents, Todd and Sharon Rayborn; and paternal grandparents, Mariana and Juan Manuel Rosario. Graveside services were July 7 at Salyers Cemetery in Walltown. Spurlin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Buchanan-Scott Laura Elizabeth Buchanan and Nicholas Todd Scott were married May 12 at West Side Christian Church in Liberty by Sherman Floyd. Alissa Buchanan of Liberty, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor and matron of honor was Lacey Edwards of Las Vegas, Nev. Bridesmaids were Amy King and Bethany Scott, sister of the groom, both of Liberty, and Tina Wilson of Nancy. Flowergirl was Abigail Shackelford of Liberty. Best man was Logan Whitis of Hustonville. Groomsmen were Adam Scott, brother of the groom, Barry King, Neal Grider, Andre Applegate, Brandon Long, Darren Wesley and Albert Buck, all of Liberty.

LIBERTY - A lawnmower and some medication were taken from the Gene Hodge and Sandra Yocum residence at 250 Joe Patterson Road, Middleburg, police said. The lawnmower, a Murray with a 42-inch cut, was valued at $1,100 was taken from a barn and the medication was taken from the residence, according to Sheriff Jerry Coffman. There was no forced entry to the house, he said. The couple reported the thefts May 12 and said they occurred between May 5-12.
