RICHMOND — As soon as Demonte Harper missed the free throw that would have won the game, he knew what he had to do. Forget about it. Harper could have hung his head after missing from the foul line with two seconds left in a tie game. Instead, he helped Morehead State hang a loss on archrival Eastern Kentucky. He bounced back with two big baskets in overtime to help the Eagles earn a 76-68 victory at McBrayer Arena in a critical Ohio Valley Conference game for both teams.

MacShara said he thought he was capable of having a big year at Morehead State, but the Boyle County graduate's rushing numbers in his first three games weren't very big at all. The numbers looked pretty impressive by season's end, however, as the sophomore ran for more than 1,000 yards and was named to the all-Pioneer Football League first...

Since he played for Rick Pitino at Kentucky, Sean Woods is a big believer in pressure basketball and that's what he'll have Morehead State doing against No. 8 Kentucky on Wednesday. “I haven't seen them really be pressured yet, so we will see how they handle ours,” said Woods. “I am just a coach that doesn't like people to be comfortable. I do not like people to run their sets. I am going to put you in a situation where you better have better basketball players and be deep and able to take the pressure for 40 minutes or I will have a chance.
