Jeff Anderson, Wilmore's fire chief for the past 10 years, accepted a job as the new fire chief of the city of Morehead last Friday. "Several months ago, an opportunity came along in Morehead where they were taking applications for a fire chief," Anderson said. "I looked at it and was encouraged by a lot of people, so I put in. It was about a six-month process, and after interviews they narrowed it down to two people, and they offered me the job. " The new, full-time position will be a big step up for Anderson, who has been balancing his part-time job as Wilmore fire chief and his full-time job as a telephone technician at Asbury College.
