Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Jonathan Leftwich, who is serving aboard the USS Dwight Eisenhower in Norfolk, Va., returned home after a seven-month tour in Iraq. He is the son of Glenn M. and Lou Leftwich of Danville. The 28-year-old officer and his wife, Marissa Young, live in Norfolk. Formerly of Murray, he has been in the Navy for four years.

Officer and member of the month for October and November in the Future Business Leaders of America chapter at George Rogers Clark High School were recently announced. Students honored were Jenny Rogers, October member; Donna Pace, October officer; Crystal Elam, November member; and Teresa Tapp, November officer. Judy Hicks is the FBLA advisor. Tammy Ham, Winchester District Junior Civitan Deputy Governor, will compete in the Junior Civitan-Bombardier Great Canadian Sno-Do 100 event Jan. 22 in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.

Case against Garrard minister continued LEXINGTON -- An appearance Friday in Fayette District Court for a Garrard County minister accused of exposing himself to an undercover police officer was continued until next month. The Rev. Everett Priddy, pastor of Hyattsville Baptist Church, is now scheduled to appear before Judge David F. Hayse on Sept. 10, Priddy, 57, was arrested in June during a sting operation by Lexington police at Jacobson Park, where undercover officers were investigating a string of complaints of sexual activity.

CRMC Auxilliary Meeting The Clark Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, including officers and volunteers, will meet on Monday. The officer meeting will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and the general meeting will be conducted between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. The guest speaker will be the chief nursing officer at Clark Regional Medical Center, Tukea Talbert. Housing Authority Meeting The Housing Authority monthly board meeting will be Monday, at 5:30 p.m. at Sequoia Village.
