The regular monthly meeting of the Hustonville Book Club was held on Wednesday, June 4 at the home of Bettye Long in Stanford. There were thirteen members present. As hostess, Bettye presented a devotion "Distant Relatives," from Matters of the Heart, on how we sometimes don't pay enough attention to some people. The program, a report on an article from the December 2007 issue of Guidepost, also given by the hostess, introduced club members to one of the club's favored authors, Mary Higgins Clark.
