A Winchester man is facing multiple charges after his pickup truck crashed into a home on Holly Avenue Friday night. Winchester Police officers were called to 20 Holly Ave. shortly after 8 p.m. Friday when a Ford pickup truck struck the front porch of the home of Tamatha Deaton. The vehicle also pulled some electrical wires loose, according to the accident report. Witnesses told police that the driver, later identified as 42-year-old Darrell Ritchie of 386 Gist Ave., tried to back up and leave the scene several times.

LIBERTY - Authorities are searching for a pickup truck that was stolen Monday night in Casey County. The 1997 white Ford F150 pickup truck belongs to Clay Hoskins Construction Co. Deputy Sheriff Bob Weddle said the truck stopped at Davenport Grocery on Ky. 510 earlier today where two young boys bought five gallons of gasoline. Several people spotted the truck in the Ky. 910 and Ky. 501 section of the county, Weddle said. He also said the tailgate, which has CHC painted on it, was down.

A 20-year-old cyclist was injured Wednesday when hit by a pickup truck on Beatty Avenue, police said. Stephen Finney of Versailles suffered back injuries when his bicycle collided with a pickup truck driven by Manuel A. Mendez, 37, of 230 Willow Springs Road, Stanford, who fled the scene. Finney was taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for treatment. Police said Mendez was driving south on Beatty Avenue near the Centre College parking area when Finney was attempting to ride his bicycle east across the street from the lot. The truck struck Finney as he entered into the road.

A pickup truck and a school bus collided Tuesday morning on Ky. 169, sending one student to a hospital with a minor injury and resulting in the arrest of the truck driver for a previous warrant. Jessamine County’s bus No. 43 was traveling west on Union Mill Road just after 8 a.m. Tuesday when the eastbound pickup truck’s front left corner made contact with the front left corner of the bus, according to the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office. Neither vehicle left the roadway.

A 6-year-old boy was hospitalized Saturday afternoon after a pickup truck ran over him in the parking lot of a liquor store. It happened in front of Bill's Carry Out on North Maple Street. According to Winchester Police, Brandon Amberg of Versailles tumbled into the parking lot from the driver-side passenger door of an SUV. Steven Baber of Winchester drove a white Dodge pick-up around the lot and unknowingly ran over the boy, then continued onto North Maple Street, according to the report.

A local man is expected to incur charges after through running an S-10 Chevrolet pickup truck into a residence on Lois Lane. The accident occurred Monday afternoon at about 3:30 in Tates Creek Estates. When Gary Marcum, 44, of 145 Lois Lane, approached the corner of McDowell and Lois Lane, he continued on through the intersection, and ran up into a yard at 148 Lois Lane, according to Jessamine County Sheriff's Deputy Todd Sponcil. "For whatever reason, he just didn't stop," Sponcil said.

No one was injured in a Monday morning blaze that destroyed a mobile home and pickup truck and damaged a garage in Tates Creek Estates. Jessamine County Fire Chief Mike Rupard said that the mobile home at 509 Sandee Drive was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. A pickup truck parked in the driveway was also burned, as well as half of the structure's garage. Rupard said the mobile home was abandoned, and that no one had lived there for a least a year. He said he did not know the cause of the fire, and that there would be an investigation into the fire's origin.

Two men were injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle accident on Ecton Road. Greg Coston said he crested a hill to find two vehicles stopped in the road in front of him. Coston's Dodge pickup truck struck a GMC pickup truck before both crashed through a fence and came to rest in a field. Clark County Deputy Sheriff Mark Collier said the driver of the GMC was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. Coston was treated at the scene.

LIBERTY - Authorities are looking into two thefts that were reported on Monday. Someone took a chainsaw from a pickup truck on Patsy Riffe Ridge Road and a weed trimmer from a porch on Lennie Rheber Road. Casey County Sheriff Jerry Coffman is investigating.

Reports - At 4:22 a.m. Thursday, Alfonzia Fletcher of 509 Corley Lane reported that someone broke the windows on his pickup truck. - At 8 p.m. Thursday, Thomas K. Meers of Deland Fla. reported that someone broke into a home he owns at 517 Constitution Drive and stole several items.

STANFORD - A Stanford man was arrested for theft Tuesday after police said a "good samaritan" restrained the suspect until law enforcement could arrive on the scene. Cody Griffith, 18, of Stanford, has been charged with theft by unlawful taking, third-degree criminal trespassing and menacing after allegedly trying to steal cash from a Dodge pickup truck on Arrowhead Trail at about 2 a.m. A second suspect in the case is still at-large. Stanford police officer Preston Middleton said Chris Hansford had come out of his house in the early morning hours to let his dog out and noticed a man on a bicycle just up the road from his house.

WINCHESTER POLICE Charged - Jordan Roy Dickens, 22, was charged Wednesday with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence and was served two warrants. Reports - At 1:46 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 21 Waveland Ave. for a theft. -  At 8:41 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Walmart after fishing poles were taken from a pickup truck. - At 9:13 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to 10 Kentucky St. after a truck threw gravel all over the caller's vehicle.

A Danville woman narrowly escaped serious injury Tuesday afternoon when a tractor-trailer rig loaded with toilet paper and paper towels overturned on top of her SUV as she was preparing to stop for a red light at the intersection of the Danville bypass and Lebanon Road. “I can't believe my head is not crushed,” Wendy Howard, 39, said at the scene as she looked at her GMC Envoy with the front of its cab caved in by the trailer, which was carrying a payload of about 45,000 pounds.

LANCASTER - Garrard County officials are awaiting results to explain the death of a man that went missing last week. Christian Robinette, 41, of Lancaster was reported missing by his wife, Renee Vest, about 9:30 p.m. last Thursday, after the couple had been arguing. An investigation by the Garrard County Sheriff's Office led to Robinette's storage unit at Eastside Storage Thursday afternoon. Inside the unit, they found Robinette dead in his pickup truck. Garrard County Coroner Daryl Hodge said Robinette was lying down in the front seat in a sleeping position with his head at the passenger side and his feet near the steering wheel.

A young Kentucky State Police trooper died Tuesday night in Clark County when his pickup truck collided with a tow truck on Interstate 64. Trooper Anson Blake Tribby, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene near the eastbound 99-mile marker, according to the state police. Tribby was off duty and in a Toyota pickup truck at the time of the crash, police said. State police have not released how the crash occurred. Clark County firefighters were called to the crash scene at 7:17 p.m. Tuesday, about 30 minutes after they responded to a vehicle fire at the 99-mile marker in the westbound lanes, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Nicholasville police and fire departments worked a three-vehicle crash involving a RJ Corman pickup truck, a Kia Rio and a Cheverolet Malibu around 2 p.m. Tuesday. Two people were transported to Lexington hospitals by Jessamine County EMS with undisclosed injuries. According to police, the Malibu was turning left from Wichita Drive onto southbound U.S. 27 and hit a white Kia, that was traveling north on U.S. 27. Both cars ended up striking the pickup truck. The police have not released names of those involved as of yet. The accident slowed traffic in both directions of U.S. 27 for about 40 minutes as one lane in each direction was closed.

Police are searching for one of the suspects in Wednesday's burglary after he was released from the hospital before police obtained their arrest warrants. Wednesday afternoon, Howard Gross and Tony Gross were officially charged with complicity and first-degree burglary, respectively, after they were shot outside 414 E. Broadway earlier that morning. Winchester Police Capt. James Hall said Tony Gross is still in the University of Kentucky Medical Center recovering from his gunshot wound to the leg, while Howard Gross Jr. was released before police made contact with him at the hospital.

A late night argument outside a Winchester apartment building led to one death and the arrest of another man on murder charges. Andrew Williamson, 46, of 149 Winn Ave. Apt. 1, was arrested early this morning and charged with beating Joseph Jones to death with a baseball bat following a verbal argument, according to court documents. Williamson was at the scene when police arrived around 11:30 p.m. Monday, Winchester Police Sgt. Tom Beall wrote in the arrest citation. During questioning, Williamson said he went to his room after the argument, got the bat, and returned  to the front porch of the building where Jones was sitting.
