Dinner, singing Beech Fork Baptist Church - Potluck dinner and gospel singing beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday. The Bluegrass Central Gospel Group will be in concert at 7 p.m. The Rev. Lee Arnold is pastor of the church on U.S. 68 between Perryville and Lebanon. Music St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church, Lancaster - Sunday, the Clarksville Soul Stirrers of Clarksville, Tenn., will give the program. Ellisburg Baptist Church - 6 p.m. Sunday, Southern Harmony Gospel Quartet will perform.

Farmers market offered downtown Joe Taylor of Hustonville will set up a farmers market and sell produce 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays behind Morley’s Tires on Martin Luther King Boulevard. The Ewell and Ellen Saylor Hopkins reunion was Saturday, Sept. 1 at the William Whitley House near Crab Orchard. Ellen Saylor Hopkins died in 1960 and after Ewell's death in 1965, the children determined to get together once a year for a reunion in remembrance of their parents. This was the 43rd annual reunion. There were 82 guests in attendance. After the blessing, given by Lester Hopkins, the guests enjoyed a large potluck dinner and some great fellowship. Democratic women to meet for potluck The May meeting of the Democratic Woman’s Club will be today at 6:30 p.m. at the home of LaDonna Stamper. Dinner will be potluck, and the meat will be provided by the host. Ann Humble will be the guest speaker. Members are asked to bring donations for “Shop ‘n Share,” benefiting the Domestic Violence Center. Williams-Farmer bus coming to Winchester David Williams and Richie Farmer are bringing their campaign bus tour to Winchester Thursday.

Health board to meet July 14 to review bids The Clark County Board of Health will have a special called meeting on Thursday, July 14, at 6 p.m. for the purpose of reviewing bids for the parking lot construction at the Health Department building at 400 Professional Ave. The meeting will be at that location. Smoking cessation class offered in July The Clark County Health Department will offer the Cooper-Clayton method smoking cessation class for 13 weeks beginning July 19. The class will be on Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Home Health Agency, 273 Shoppers Drive.

The LLL¿Club met Sept. 18 at Central Baptist Church for the regular monthly meeting and potluck luncheon. The Rev. Ed Davis called the meeting to order and gave the opening prayer. Dara Henry introduced the LLL¿Band that entertained the club with several songs that were enjoyed by all. Glenda Hoffman introduced Laurie Valentine, counsel for the Kentucky Baptist Foundation, who gave the group the opportunity to ask a lawyer questions. Minutes were read by Gayle Crowe and treasurer's report was given by Phyllis Henderson.
