HARRODSBURG - A Somerset man was arrested Tuesday night after police received a call about a reckless driver on U.S. 127, according to a news release. Harrodsburg police officers Anthony Wesley and Jason Elder stopped the vehicle and arrested Chance Moody for a suspended license. After stopping the vehicle, police found a needle in the truck with an unknown substance in it, the release said. A soda can also was found with an unknown substance on top of it.

Police have discovered that a reckless driver reportedly flashing emergency lights, was an underage volunteer firefighter, after a three-vehicle collision Thursday evening. About 6:35 p.m., just minutes after Danville 911 Center was notified of a reckless driver flashing emergency lights on Ky. 34, Danville police were dispatched to a collision on West Broadway Street between North Third and Fourth streets. Davis Brown, 20, of Danville was driving his beige SUV south on North Third Street.

May 25 5:53 a.m., officer with suspicious vehicle on Waveland Avenue; Incident reported at 11:54 p.m. from Sunless Tan; subject is owner of store and was checking on employees. 2:23 a.m., caller reported neighbor causing a disturbance at Heather Hills Apartments on Hill-N-Dale Drive; loud yelling and throwing furniture at unknown person in stairwell; neighbor was just released from jail and has no keys to gain entry back inside; apartment manager notified. May 24 7:41 a.m., report of vandalism that occurred during the night on Count Fleet Circle.

To the editor, In reply to the ad of Ms. Dianne Newton, why did she wait until April to bring up the pay roll tax of R.J. Corman's company? Could it be that this is an underhanded example of campaign smearing from the Corman for Mayor campaign? After all, she is the sister-in-law of Mr. Wesley Corman, whom I understand is Mr. Sam Corman's campaign manager. I had not decided who I would vote for in the mayor's race, but I know for sure one who will not get my vote. The people of Nicholasville should be aware of the complete story as to why this decision was made.

A Jamestown man was arrested Monday night after he fled from Danville police in his vehicle, then on foot. Ricky D. Lawless, 31, was reported as a reckless driver coming toward Danville on Ky. 34 about 8:45 p.m., police said. Officer Josh Faulkner attempted to pull over the vehicle, but it turned onto Dogwood Drive. Faulkner lost sight of the vehicle for about 10 seconds, according to police, but a witness pointed him in the right direction. The car was parked in a driveway, but the driver had fled.
