Special to the Sun It took a rain delay and gritty determination for the Mets to come away with the Little League City Championship Monday night with a 2-1 victory over the As. Aaron Pope pitched all six innings for the As, while Jordan Williams pitched 5 1/3 innings for the Mets, and Jayvee Farrell came in to close the door. It was a pitching duel from the start as Pope notched 13 strikeouts for the As. Williams returned the favor for the Mets, fanning 15 batters himself.
