I have struggled for several weeks now to find a connection between a non-animal related topic and our four legged furry family members. School officials are hopeful that a $113,000 road project will ease the traffic congestion around Strode Station Elementary. Last week, the Clark County Board of Education gave the green light to build a road from Frontier Way to the bus loop in front of the school. District Director of Operations Paul Christy has been updating the board on the project in recent months, but said the plans are now ready for state approval. The cost is up from previous estimates due to the involvement of architects and some required site preparation, he said.
