HARRODSBURG — A Harrodsburg man suspected of robbing a Marathon station in Mercer County before fleeing to Campbellsville on Wednesday night turned himself in to authorities Thursday. Terrence Lee Walker, 21, is accused of robbing the store on College Street at gunpoint about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday. After less than 24 hours on the run, Walker gave himself up Thursday afternoon at the Mercer County Courthouse. A store employee said Walker entered the store shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday and waited until the manager went outside.

Police are trying to find a man who robbed another early Monday morning as he was going fishing. At about 5:30 a.m. Monday, police said the suspect flagged down a motorist near the intersection of Broadway and Rowland Avenue. The suspect then got in the car and pulled out a gun. The victim said he didn't have any money, and the suspect hit him in the face. The driver surrendered his wallet and drove the suspect more than a mile down the road before he jumped out of the vehicle and ran. The suspect is a white male, approximately 6-foot-1 and 175 to 200 pounds.

Police are searching from a man and woman who allegedly used a knife to hold up a clerk at a Hustonville Road business and stole an undisclosed amount of money. Danville police were dispatched to an armed robbery call at Sleep Outfitters on Hustonville Road at about 8:30 p.m. Friday. According to a press release, a white female with a piercing hole in her right eyebrow entered the store and distracted an employee while a dark-skinned male wearing a gray “Rastafarian type hat/cap” entered the store with a knife and approached the employee from behind.

A Danville robbery suspect was captured Saturday night, when police located him hiding in his residence on Henson Avenue. Marcus Beasley, 20, of Danville, was allegedly involved in a strong-arm robbery with Adrian J. Bates, 21, of Danville, on Friday. Bates was picked up during a traffic stop Friday. The two men were being sought after Joshua D. Willoughby reported they took his wallet and threatened to harm him if he reported the incident. According to Danville police, Willoughby met with the two men Friday afternoon so he could purchase a TV from another individual.

HARRODSBURG — A Harrodsburg man has been arrested in the armed robbery Monday of a check-cashing business. Police had information that Andrew S. Henninger, 25, of 661 Oakland Lane may have robbed the Cash Express on 587 Chestnut Street in Harrodsburg. Harrodsburg police and Mercer County sheriff’s officers arrested Henninger at 10 p.m. Tuesday 414 Bondville Road in Salvisa on a Mercer County warrant. Henninger was later questioned about Monday’s armed robbery in which $1,000 was taken, and he was charged with first-degree robbery and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

WAYNESBURG — Police have arrested five people believed to be involved in a home invasion and robbery in Lincoln County early Tuesday morning. Sheriff Curt Folger said Tracy McMahan, 21, and Gary Griffin, Christopher Leek, Chad Oaks and Kathy Murphy, all 25, were responsible for the crime at the home of Susie McMahan at 595 Shake Rag Road near Waynesburg. Folger said two or three people, clad in dark clothes and ski masks, knocked on Susie McMahan’s door about 1 a.m. and forced their way in when she opened it. The sheriff said Susie McMahan is Tracy McMahan’s stepgrandmother.

A Junction¿City man was arrested Friday for second-degree robbery after allegedly hitting a Walmart security guard who tried to detain him for shoplifting, Danville Police Chief Tony¿Gray said. David A. Price, 32, allegedly tried to steal a Blu-Ray player and was stopped by a Wal Mart security guard, according to Gray. Price allegedly struck the employee and ran away from the scene. Witnesses saw Price enter a white convertible with a black top.¿A Danville police officer saw a vehicle matching that description and stopped it on South Town Drive near Daniel¿Drive.

Nicholasville police are investigating an armed robbery at Cash Express, located at 859 N. Main St. The robbery occurred around 3 p.m. Thursday, when a white male entered the business and demanded that all money in Cash Express be given to him, according to an NPD news release. The release said the man then pointed a black semi-automatic pistol at the teller as he made his demands. He was given an undisclosed amount of cash, which he placed in a blue money bag before he exited the business.

CRAB ORCHARD - A man attempting to rob a Crab Orchard store Wednesday morning didn't make it very far. “He was apprehended within five minutes of walking out the door,” Lincoln County Sheriff Curt Folger said. Chad Bennett, 31, walked into D&M Market on Stanford Street about 10 a.m. Wednesday, advised the female clerk he had a gun and demanded cash from the register, Folger said. However, the clerk refused to hand over any money. “I think she was going to whip his butt,” Folger said.

STANFORD - Three Lincoln County men have been arrested on charges they committed an armed robbery of a Stanford home last week. Michael Denson, 32, and Jeffery Harrison, 43, of Stanford, and Dakota Means, 22, of Crab Orchard, have been charged with first-degree robbery after police say one of them entered a house on Portman Avenue on May 16. "It was forced entry. The door was kicked in," Stanford police officer Preston Middleton said. "The male that made entry into the house was armed with a butcher knife.

One of the two men convicted in a 1989 Clark County murder is back in jail after allegedly trying to abduct a girl in Laurel County last week. Carl Wayne Miller, 42, is incarcerated in the Laurel County Detention Center on a charge of attempted abduction of a minor, according to the Laurel County Sheriff's Office. Miller was one of two men convicted in the July 1989 murder of Thomas Bennett during a robbery at Bennett's Grocery. According to LCSO Public Affairs Officer Gilbert Acciardo, a 15-year-old girl was walking to a friend's home Friday afternoon near Corbin when she noticed a van following her. She returned to her home, and the man in the van knocked on her door.

Charges from a February 2012 shooting and robbery were dismissed after the victim refused to cooperate with prosecutors. William Fulz, 35, was charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree assault after he allegedly shot Earl McVey Jr. outside 88 Tyler Banks Court on Feb. 26, 2012. He also allegedly robbed McVey, police said at the time. Thursday afternoon, Fulz's indictment and all charges were dismissed without prejudice in Clark Circuit Court. Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Heidi Engel said the victim had refused to work with prosecutors and could not be located.

It took police less than two minutes Wednesday morning to capture the suspect in an armed robbery of a check cashing store. He then confessed to two April 8 robberies. Shortly after 11 a.m., employees at Check Advance on Bloomfield Road called police and said they had been robbed. Winchester Police Capt. James Hall said the two employees on duty gave detailed descriptions of the suspect, who officers caught in the Winchester Cemetery after a short foot pursuit. “He had already committed the robbery and fled the store,” Hall said.

Police are searching for a suspect reported in an armed robbery early this morning in Danville. At 2:15 a.m., Danville police responded to the Bowlarama parking lot off Lexington Road. Upon arrival, Maxie R. Hines, 31, told police a light-skinned black man robbed her at gunpoint. Hines said the suspect left in a vehicle traveling on Lexington Road toward Garrard County. Anyone with information regarding the case should contact Detective A.J. Mullins at (859) 238-1224.

The Jessamine County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred around 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Subway on Springdale Drive. According to a news release, a male dressed in dark clothing and a partial covering of his face entered the sandwich shop and ordered the two employees to the back of the store. Chief deputy Allen Peel said the suspect used a handgun in the robbery and no one was injured during the incident. The man brought the employees back to the cash register, where he ordered the female employee to give him the contents of the drawer.

Danville police have made an arrest in the search of a suspect in Saturday's CVS robbery. After obtaining a search warrant for 990 Tank Pond Rd. in Parksville, A.J. Mullins and three other detectives arrested Johnny D. Satterly, 37, at about 11:50 a.m. Wednesday. Danville police chief Tony Gray said he cannot comment on what led detectives to Satterly as a suspect. About 8:40 p.m. Saturday, Danville police responded to the CVS pharmacy on Second Street after reports of a robbery.
