Robert C. Deaton, 83, of Eubank, passed away Wednesday, May 15, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Born Sept. 8, 1929, in Lee County, Robert was a son of the late Jesse James and Dora May Morris Deaton. He was a farmer and an Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. Robert attended Floyd Switch Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death three sisters, Arvella Drake, Lillian Abell and Betty Pennington. Survivors include two sons, Dennis and Douglas Deaton of Michigan; two daughters, Rosemary Deaton and Darla Kay Deaton of Michigan; and five sisters, Minnie Lou Long of Shelbyville, Delvena Cockerham of Nicholasville, Rita Spencer of Indiana, Frances Tomes Phillips of Somerset and Shirley Shipley of Springfield, Mo.; Funeral services were May 18, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill with Bro. Shelby Reynolds officiating.

William Bass Wesley, 86, of Science Hill, passed away Friday, May 10. Born Jan. 29, 1927, in Cincinnati, Ohio, William was a son of the late Raymond "R.T. " and Gertie Wesley. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Fanny Weber; two sons, Everett and William Wesley; four brothers, Claude Lee Wesley, Avery Thomas Wesley, Milford Ray Wesley and Carlos Ray Wesley; and two sisters, Thelma Rash and Tansy Hamm. Pamela Sue Turpin, 44, of Eubank, passed away Thursday, April 25, at her residence. Born Dec. 26, 1968, in Pulaski County, Pamela was a daughter of Christine Dick Ashley of Eubank and the late Rufus Bud Young. She was a homemaker and certified nurse's aide. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Brittany Turpin; and a sister, Tammy Surber. Other survivors include her husband, John Turpin of Eubank; stepfather, Leo Ashley of Eubank; three sons, Chris Young and Gregory and Brandon Turpin of Eubank; four brothers, Rick, Lee and Ray Young and Michael Dick; and four grandchildren, Braylin Cox, Cheyenne Turpin, Kayden Brooks and Aidan Thomas.

Jacob Donald "Jake" Ebenstein, 19, of Eubank, passed away Tuesday, April 16, at University of Kentucky Medical Center. Born October of 1993, in Olathe, Kansas, Jake was a son of Donald William Ebenstein of Gardner, Kansas and Tina Fay Hauser Ebenstein of Eubank. He was a senior at Pulaski County High School and an employee of Culvers. Other survivors three brothers, William Joseph Cunningham of Eubank and Matthew Roberto Ebenstein and Adam Victor Ebenstein, both of Gardner, Kansas; one sister, Jalisa Fay Cunningham of Eubank; maternal grandparents, Janrose and Greg Hauser; paternal grandparents, Don and Sue Ebenstein; aunt and uncle, Robyn and Doug Stephens; and cousins, Kayla and Tara Stephens.

Martha E. Gossett Mofield, 69, of Science Hill, passed away Friday, March 15, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Born May 20, 1943, in Poynter, Martha was a daughter of the late James W. Gossett and Della Mae Sweet Gossett. She was a wife and homemaker, who dearly loved her family and a former cook at Northern Middle School. Martha was a devoted follower of her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and long-time member of Jacksonville Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Rick Allen Mofield and Norman Ray Mofield; and three brothers, Sherman, Earl and Jean Gossett.

Audrey Morris, 82, of Science Hill, passed away Wednesday, March 6. Born July 24, 1930, in Ansel, Audrey was a daughter of the late Elvin and Clara Godby Wesley. She was a salad maker for Morehead University, a member of Beech Grove Methodist Church and the widow of Hobert William Morris, who preceded her in death on July 28, 1997. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Erlin, Loyd, Delmer and Lowell Wesley and baby boy Wesley; one sister, Mildred West; daughter-in-law, Vickie West; and two grandchildren, Trudy West and Joey Talbott.

Born Aug. 22, 1969, in Somerset, Donna was the daughter of George and Mereda Burkett Moore of Science Hill. She was a LPN for Neighborhood Nursing and Rehab. Other survivors include her husband, Leon M. Young of Science Hill; two sons, Jeffrey Tyrese Garrett and Jacob Devonte Moore of Science Hill; step son, Damyan Michael Young of Danville; and mother-in-law, Ella M. Young of Science Hill.

Shirley Marie Slagle Dobbs, 77, of Science Hill, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, at her residence. Born Aug. 7, 1935, in Harlan County, Shirley was a daughter of the late Dorcey Emil and Martha Jane Saylor Slagle. She was a retired seamstress from Palm Beach and a former owner and operator of Redwood Restaurant in Lancaster. She was also preceded in death by eight brothers, Charles Slagle, Lawrence Slagle, Vernon Slagle, Lee Opal Slagle, Haskell Saylor, William "Bill" Slagle, Frank Slage and Jesse Saylor; six sisters, Iva Slagle, Eva Slagle, Vada Slagle Unthank, Reba Saylor Sparks, Edna Stutzman and Elizabeth Jones; and one granddaughter, Latasha Michelle Dobbs.

Delmer F. Blevins, 82, of Eubank, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, at his residence. Born Jan. 31, 1931, in Eubank, Delmer was the only child of the late Charlie and Lola Littrell Blevins. He was a retired farmer, a Korean War Marine veteran, and a member of Goochtown Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, David Koger. David Wayne Dick, 47, of Eubank, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6. Born Dec. 12, 1965, in Somerset, David was a son of Billy and Gloria Smith Dick of Eubank. He was a mason for 25 years and enjoyed golfing, playing horse shoes and watching Kentucky basketball. He enjoyed his family. and his grandson, Braden was his pride and joy. David, a friend to all that knew him, was a good hardworking, honest man and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his second grandchild, his namesake, David "Gage" Dick.
