It definitely wasn't typical week-before-Christmas weather yesterday. But the number of shiny, new bicycles wheeled out of Wal-Mart couldn't trick you into thinking it was anything but the holidays. Not long after sunrise yesterday, 132 police officers and other volunteers met with 252 children and their parents in the sunny lot of the Winchester store for the 14th annual Shop With a Cop program. "It was a whole lot warmer than it usually is," said Berl Perdue, president of the local Fraternal Order of Police.
