MONROE SCRUGGS Monroe Scruggs, 84, passed away Saturday at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service. All services will be at the Greater First Baptist Church, Sharpsburg. Adams-Hill Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Anna Rae Morgan, 89, of Wilmore died Thursday, Dec. 15, at her home. She was born in Sharpsburg and was the daughter of the late Willie Lee and Bertie Dee Gray Morgan. She attended Mt. Freedom Baptist Church and Jessamine County Adult Day Care. She is survived by three sisters, Mary Ellen Sargent of Lexington, Christene and husband Richard Clem, and Dorothy and husband Gordon Thompson of Wilmore; a brother, Millard Clinton and wife Betsy Morgan of Lexington; eight adoring nieces and nephews, Faye Halloran, Pat Adams, Joe Sargent Jr., Linda Gay, Cathy Thompson, Amy Shearer, Ronnie Morgan and Jennifer Holland; several loving cousins; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth Mae Hunter, 77, of Winchester, widow of the late Ernest C. Hunter passed away on Thursday, Sept. 29, at her home in Perry County. Mrs. Hunter was born in Sharpsburg on Aug. 14, 1934, to the late Paul and Ida Belle Hunt Groves. She was a homemaker and a member of Northside Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Danny Ray (Kathy) Hunter and Richard Allen (Dee) Hunter of Winchester; a daughter, Priscilla Ann (E.P.) White of Perry County; five grandchildren, Dana Tankersly, Matthew Hunter, Megan Walling, Beth White and Rene White; five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Groves, Paul (Jeannie)
