Dear Editor, In regards to all the negative things being said about our sheriff, LeeRoy Hardin, I have known LeeRoy all my life and think he has done a wonderful job as a deputy under Karl Luttrell and now as sheriff. I think he handles all matters in a very professional way. He has my support and that of my family and friends in the upcoming election. We want to keep the protection we now have. The one at fault needs to just take the blame and move on. Keep up the good work LeeRoy.

Dear Editor, As I read the article in last week's newspaper about the drug raids and arrests in Lincoln County, the first thought that came to my mind was that any day is a good day when you get drugs and drug dealers off the streets. My next thought was "maybe the sheriff should have to run for office every year and have opposition. " That might keep him on his toes! Kim Shipp Crab Orchard

Griffieth is a man of strong family values, good moral character, with a history of hard work. He and his family are life-long residents of this community.
