STANFORD - Monday, after a store owner alerted a Lincoln County Deputy about a possible shoplifter, three people were arrested on drug-related charges Tuesday. Deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Anthony Taylor, 24, of Waynesburg, at Fort Logan Trading Post, 933 Lancaster St., after the shop's owner said passenger Candace Moore had attempted to shoplift. Deputies found Moore, 28, of Lancaster, in possession of 105 to 110 pills of an unknown substance. She was charged with shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance not in the original container.

STANFORD ? A shoplifting incident at Walmart led to the discovery of a rolling meth lab Thursday night, according the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department. Thursday, Deputy Sim Thacker responded to the shoplifting incident at Walmart at 9:50 p.m. Wilburn T. Kidd III, 27, of Science Hill, and Kimberly B. Flynn, 27, of Lancaster, were arrested for allegedly taking less than $500 in merchandise from the store. Further investigation by Thacker led to the discovery of what the sheriff's office call a "rolling meth lab" in the vehicle Kidd and Flynn occupied.

HARRODSBURG - Former Mercer County agriculture agent Tony Shirley pleaded guilty to shoplifting charges last week in Mercer District Court. Shirley, whose retirement became effective on May 30, entered an Alford plea to the shoplifting charge on May 31. The Nicholasville Police Department is asking the public's help in locating an black woman who they believe is involved in a shoplifting incident. NPD spokesperson Scott Harvey said the woman in the picture had two young female accomplices who also stole items from the Dollar General Store in Edgewood Plaza on June 17. "It may have been a mom and two young teens, and they appeared to be all shoplifting together," Harvey said. Harvey said while the alleged crime is a misdemeanor, the fact that the adult woman seemed to be encouraging the teens was disturbing.

Woman accused of shoplifting HARRODSBURG - A woman who is accused of shoplifting $70 worth of merchandise from the Dollar Store Monday was booked in the Boyle County Detention Center. Dawnetta Jones, 31, of 311 W. Grubbs Lane, Junction City, was arrested by the Harrodsburg Police Department at the store on South College Street. Sgt. J.T. Thomas is investigating.

Bradley, of 5449 Iron Works Road reported that a known female went into a residence he owns at 194 Schollsville Road and stole several items from the home amounting to about $500.   Charged - Brandon G.
