JAELYNN PAIGE COONS Adam and Brittany Coons of Stanton announce the birth of their daughter, Jaelynn Paige Coons. She was born May 20 at Clark Regional Medical Center. Her grandparents are James and Laura Watkins of Clay City, Imogene Brooks of Clay City, Sheila Abney of Clay City and Timothy and Robin Coons. Her great-grandparents are Imogene Brooks of Clay City, Mary Watkins of Stanton, David and Effie Abney of Irvine and Johnnie and Wanda Moore of Clay City. According to WKYT, two Stanton men were arrested last week after police say they stole $90,000 worth of hand tools, washing machines, dryers and lawn mowers from the Winchester Lowe's. Former Lowe's employees Terry Paige, 28, and Joshua Larrison, 26, were both released from jail last week. Police think Paige, who works as a volunteer firefighter in Stanton, may have tried to resell some of the items there. He has been suspended from the fire department pending the outcome of an investigation.

Crystal Lee Ann Wasson and Randle Scott Wireman exchanged vows April 12 at 12:30 p.m. in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Crystal, the daughter of Anna Johns of Winchester, and Vernon and Delores Johns of Zolfo Springs, Fla., is a Bluegrass Community and Technical College student and is currently employed by ACS Lexington. Randle, the son of Randle and Georgia Wireman of Stanton, is a Morehead State University student and is employed by the Department of Military Affairs in Lexington. After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

Dorothy Marie Dunaway, 76, formerly of Winchester, passed away Jan. 7 at the residence of her daughter, Sheila Barnett, in Stanton. Born in Irvine, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Mora Morefield Rogers. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pilgrim Church in Winchester. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Edward and Larry David Dunaway; one brother, Franklin Rogers; and one sister, Avon Jewell. She is survived by eight children, William (Karen)

Wallace Eugene Reed, 75, of Stanford, died Thursday, Feb. 5. A native of Lincoln County, he was born Oct. 26, 1933, to the late Lon and Bessie Bastin Reed. He was a farmer, a Kentucky Colonel, member of Lincoln County Cattleman's Association and an avid UK fan. He was also preceded in death by two brothers Sherman and Danny Reed. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Wilcop Reed; two sons, Mike (Vickie) Reed of Stanton and Jeff (Teresa) Reed of Waynesburg; a brother, Norman Reed of Danville; four grandchildren, Casey and Morgan of Waynesburg and Katie and Anna Nell of Stanton; and four nephews.
