Double murder suspect Lillie Stanton began a court-ordered 30-day stay at the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center Monday after case workers said she planned to harm herself in jail. Stanton, 48, was charged with the deaths of her daughter, 23-year-old Danel Korrey Stanton, and granddaughter, 22-month-old Kaydence Ray Miers, on May 20 in their home at 233 Vaught Road. According to court documents, employees from Bluegrass Comprehensive Care evaluated Lillie Stanton twice after her arrest and recommended that she be moved to KCPC “without delay due to intense suicidal ideation with intent and strong desire to plan self harm.” Lillie Stanton had wounded herself following the two deaths on May 20. According to a search warrant, Lillie Stanton's ex-husband Robert Stanton told police that when he arrived home that day, he saw Lillie Stanton stabbing herself with a knife.
