Cedric Geouge is not the typical Eagle Scout. In September 2007, the then-17-year-old Geouge was a college freshman who had just returned from a Boy Scout trip to England. He was almost ready to have his Eagle Scout project approved and completed when he was hospitalized in October with a heart infection. Following emergency surgery, he had a stroke with massive bleeding that left him severely paralyzed and caused brain damage, leaving him unable to speak. After spending five months at different hospitals, he was released to come home in March 2008.

LEXINGTON¿ - Kyle Wiltjer's first shot at Rupp¿Arena was a missed tip in the paint. The rest were mostly away from the rim. Wiltjer, a freshman, tied white squad teammate Anthony Davis for team-high scoring honors with 27 points in the team's intrasquad Blue-White scrimmage Wednesday night at Rupp¿Arena. In the first 10 minutes, Wiltjer misfired on a jump hook and his first two shots, but rarely missed once he moved past the jitters and got into a rhythm. His first two made baskets included a 3-pointer, the first of five shots Wiltjer made from long range against the blue team, which defeated the White squad 126-104.

When a stroke patient returns home, he or she will often require a number of home modifications to help them regain as much of their independence as possible. Home health care professionals often help patients return to their homes, teaching them how to live independently. The professionals who provide care in the home include nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists and medical social workers.

After three years of chasing champions, Eric King has finally claimed his crown. On Sunday, the Somerset golfer broke a string of second-place efforts in the annual Homer Profitt Memorial Invitational by posting a two-stroke win at Dix River Country Club. “Finally. I was second the other three times I tried, but I just couldn't get it (win) - until today,” King said. King, who finished in a three-way tie for second last year, put together two strong days of play to win this year's title, shooting a 5-under-par 137 (70-67)
