PERRYVILLE - Crews were called to a structure fire at about 5:40 on Wednesday night in a vacant house on Webster Road southeast of Perryville. The fire began in the rear of the house and had not yet spread to the rest when crews arrived. While the cause is unknown, it is not considered suspicious. According to Boyle County Assistant Fire Chief James Coffman, the department will still investigate, as they do with every fire. "We have a really good investigation team. Fortunately, we don't have a lot of fires in the county.

WINCHESTER POLICE Reports - At 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, police received a report of theft at 142 Buckingham Lane. - At 5:51 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 1509 Bypass Road concerning a theft. Witnesses saw a red Pontiac Grand Am leaving the scene at a high rate of speed. - At 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, police received a report of a missing juvenile at 246 Vaught Road. CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF Reports - At 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, Terry Goolman of 3171 Trapp Goff Corner Road reported that someone kicked in the door to his home and took a compound bow, quiver, arrows and a plastic bow case.

KNOB LICK - Kentucky State Police arrested a Junction City man early this morning and charged him in connection with a structure fire Wednesday. Christopher Herring, 29, of White Oak Road was arrested at 3:12 a.m. in Perryville and charged with second-degree arson. Just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, the Lincoln County Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 7205 Ky. 300, or East Knob Lick Road, in Lincoln County. The area is just over the Boyle County line from Junction City.

WINCHESTER POLICE DEPARTMENT Charged - Nelson Graves, 50, was charged Thursday with trafficking in a controlled sustance in the first degree. - Anthony Hisle, 28, was charged Thursday with violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO. - Tracy Phillips, 29, was charged Thursday with trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree. Reports - At 2:43 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to 201 N. Main St. concerning an assault that occurred at 110 Blueberry Lane. - At 3:55 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to 38 Mackay Ave. concerning a theft.

Local firefighters and emergency medical personnel had a busy day with two back-to-back structure fires at a Danville townhouse complex Sunday. Firefighters said the fires at Charleston Greene on Walnut Street are believed to be related but have two different points of origin. Danville Fire Department first responded to unit 18A owned by Jenny Jackson about 6 a.m. where crews searched for anyone possibly still inside. Heavy smoke hindered firefighters, but they learned no one was inside.

HARRODSBURG - A man was taken to the hospital after a fire early this morning heavily damaged a duplex in Mercer County. About 5:15 a.m., Harrodsburg Fire Department responded to a duplex on Greenbriar Drive for a structure fire. Assistant Fire Chief Rick Maxfield said the right unit of the duplex caught fire, and the cause was likely electrical. The occupant of the duplex awoke about 5 a.m. and realized his mattress was on fire, Maxfield said. The man attempted to remove the bed from the house, but the fire spread.
