LANCASTER - It may have been the Garrard County Fair, but it seemed like American Idol mania Thursday during the Coca-Cola Talent Classic. The contest was to begin at 7 p.m., but people were still pouring in to line up for last minute entries at 6:58. Also pouring was the sweat off of the foreheads of contestants and audience members alike; the temperature was still in the 90s as everyone under the pavilion fanned themselves with whatever they could find. Many were walking around nervously, carrying CDs that read "Karaoke Star Series," or holding their western-style hats down to their sides, probably in hopes of avoiding a sweaty hair ring.
