WINCHESTER¿POLICE Charged - Kemol Akey Hampton, 31, was charged Thursday with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (two counts). - Denise Henry, 38, was charged Thursday with failure to use signal, failure to maintain insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree possession of  a controlled substance. - Ashley Winburn Johnson, 28, was charged Thursday with theft by unlawful taking and was served a warrant. - Jonathan K. Belcher, 31, was charged Saturday with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended operator's license and improper display of registration place.

It is not necessarily an indication of what the officer found upon arrival at the scene, or of how police may have dealt with the complaint.   DECEMBER 27 7:12 a.m., an officer was flagged down at Red Wing Shoes due to a scooter in the parking lot. 11:38 a.m., a female is supposed to check out of Super 8 Motel, but she advised that she has nowhere to go. 2 p.m., report of a road rage situation between drivers in a white pickup truck and a red car who may be in pursuit of each other on Lebanon Road; unable to locate subjects.

HARRODSBURG - Two men have been indicted by a Mercer County grand jury for allegedly breaking into a warehouse at Corning Inc. and stealing copper wire on three seperate occassions. Dameon Devine, 23, of 315 James St., Harrodsburg, and Edward Robertson, 23, of 504 E. Main St, Danville, were each indicted on three counts of burglary and three counts of theft more than $500, for allegedly unlawfully entering the Corning property and stealing large amounts of copper. The alleged thefts occurred between Nov. 7 and Nov. 25. Bonds were set at $10,000.

The following cases were resolved in Clark District Court Dec. 12 with Judge Brandy Oliver Brown presiding. - Joseph P. Bordas, possession of drug paraphernalia, dismissed; tampering with physical evidence, amended to attempt, pleaded guilty, 90 days; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, amended to attempt, pleaded guilty, concurrent sentence. - Andre Durgan, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, preliminary hearing, probable cause found, sent to grand jury.

CAMPBELLSVILLE - A man who was in custody of Campbellsville Police also has been charged with thefts in Harrodsburg.  Jimmy L. Alsman, 41, of Harrodsburg, was arrested by Campbellsville Police when he attempted to sell a stolen trailer. He was in possession of a vehicle that police discovered belonged to Baker's Used Cars.  When they contacted Jeffrey Baker, owner of Baker's Used Cars, he confirmed the stolen 2001 Dodge Ram did belong to him and realized the absence of a Kentucky registration plate and 10 to 12 sets of keys for other vehicles.

HARRODSBURG - Two men were arrested Sunday after they allegedly attempted to sell stolen copper wire in Lawrenceburg. Harrodsburg police said Dameon Devine, 23, of Harrodsburg, and Edward Robertson IV, 23, of Danville, went to Francis Pallet and Recycling to sell the copper, which weighed about 615 pounds. According to Harrodsburg Lt. Chad Powell, the two stole the wire from the Corning warehouse Saturday night before taking it to sell in Lawrenceburg on Sunday. Robertson was charged with third-degree burglary.
