William Bruce Christy, IV, the son of Marilyn Rector of Waynesburg and William B. Christy, III of Danville, was born Saturday, April 5 at the Fort Logan Hospital at 12:31 p.m. He weighed 6 pounds 9.4 ounces and measured 20 inches at birth. Maternal grandparents are Vina and Thomas Rector, Jr., of Waynesburg. Paternal grandparents are Sherry Christy of Allen Park, Mich., and William Bruce Christy, Jr., of West Chester, Pa. Great grandparents are Ruth Rector of Waynesburg, Irene Christy of West Chester, Pa., and Doris and Bob Williams of Allen Park, Mich.

Leonard C. Ruckel, 73, of KY Hwy 328 West, Eubank, passed away Friday, April 5, at his residence. Born Friday, May 5, 1939, in Pulaski County, Leonard was a son of the late Henry and Ruby Spaw Ruckel. He was a farmer and member of Polly Ann Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Ruckel. Survivors include his wife, Emma Ruckel, whom he wed on Sept. 23, 1961; three sons, Tony (Denise) Ruckel of Somerset and Jeff (Anna) and Doug (Alisa)

William M. Moore, 74, of Nelson Valley Road, Science Hill, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. A native of Ansel, he was born Feb. 12, 1934, to the late Edgar D. and Opal Oveline Campbell Moore. He was a truck driver for McLean Trucking Company, retired long distance mail hauler, member of Teamster Union Local #100 and Socialville Baptist Church in Mason, Ohio for 21 years where he was a trustee, usher and member of the choir and the men's prayer group.

Mafre Louise Dick Eldridge, 89, of Somerset, died Friday, Jan. 9 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. A native of Casey County, she was born Feb. 2, 1919, to the late Ephraim Oliver and Ibbie Wesley Dick. She was a lifelong member of Science Hill United Methodist Church, where she served as church treasurer for more than 25 years, member and past president of the Science Hill Garden Club, involved with the Ladies Auxiliary of Gideons International, and widow of Barnett Eldridge.

One of Boyle County's biggest industrial employers could be closing its doors and moving its workforce to Ohio, a move that could cost Danville more than 240 jobs. Intelligrated, an Ohio-based company that owns FKI Logistex, is planning to shut down its Lebanon Road factory and consolidate its workforce at its two Ohio plants. Intelligrated announced on Tuesday that it has accepted a $24-million financial incentive package from the state of Ohio that will allow it to retain 537 jobs and add 267 new ones at its Ohio facilities.

Eugene Albert "Buddy� Pruitt, 72, of Lancaster, formerly of Crab Orchard, died Sunday, Feb. 5 at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. A native of Crab Orchard, he was born March 17, 1933 to the late Marion C. and Rhoda Mae Wallin Pruitt. He was a former employee of Cherokee Sales and a member of Westland Christian Church in Arlington Heights, OH. He was also preceded in death by a brother of Claude Pruitt.
