A recent Gallup survey shows Hillary Clinton with a 64% favorability rating. She is the clear favorite for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination. But why is Hillary so popular? She came on the national scene in 1992 as presidential candidate Bill Clinton's feminist wife. Hillary saved his campaign by sitting stoically beside him on 60 Minutes as he admitted “causing pain in my marriage,” but denied an affair for which there was recorded evidence. Bill promised voters they would “get two for the price of one,” and once elected promptly put Hillary in charge of health care reform.

Much of the U.S. population has absorbed the South Korean rapper "Psy" and his "Gangham Style" music video (a billion views on You Tube). I would only ask the American public to research Psy - his past remarks have included death to American servicemen and their family members. To reward a Korean rapper who has used anti-American rhetoric in the past with such popularity and financial gains is very wrong. Psy has offered an apology for his past remarks. Duh! Psy doesn't intend to leave money on the table.

President Obama is in a pickle. But it's a pickle of his own making. Obama has made it known he wants United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice to replace the departing Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. Rice has been a long-time supporter and faithful foot soldier for Obama. Rice also has been under fire, as she should be, for being the face of the false and specious narrative coming from the White House about the Libya murders. There are one of two reasons why Rice, and whoever is behind her, stood by her deceptive and misleading story for so long.

As the blame game by Democrats continues blaming George Bush and the Republications for their failures, recession and economic problems, etc., here are some facts about the situation: 1. The real problems with the economy started in the middle of George Bush's second term after the Democrats took control of both houses of Congress. 2. With Democrats in control, President Bush couldn't do much to constrain them so within two years they were well on their way to wrecking the economy. 3. Then after Obama won the White House and was sworn in, in January 2009, the Democrats were in total control of all three major areas of government - the House of Representatives, the Senate and the White House. 4. They continued unchecked for two more years, wrecking the economy until the Republicans took back control of the House of Representatives in 2010 and at least slowed them down.

I want to write this short note to give some credit. I didn't vote for him, and I don't intend to vote for him, but I've got to give it to our President Obama. He is the president of the United States of America. He is the youngest ever to reside in the White House on Pennsylvania Ave. I have never resided there, you have never lived there, I can safely say that none of your readers have ever lived there, and I very seriously doubt any of us will. Where did he come from? He sure didn't come from the land down under, and we know he is supposed to be a Democrat.

In the days following our beloved Cats winning the national championship, I couldn't help but feel like I missed out. I received pictures and videos of the mayhem in Lexington, the raising of the banner in Rupp Arena and the sheer joy that consumed the Bluegrass state. Watching it all unfold from my computer was bittersweet. You see, I live in Washington, D.C. Of course, I returned to Danville for national championship weekend, but prior to that, I spent my time watching games in “UK” bars and in front of my television with Louisville and Tennessee fans (I know, at times it was as painful as it sounds)

WASHINGTON - The Big Blue Nation invaded the East Room of the White House Friday afternoon as President Barack Obama honored the 2012 National Championship team in front of a packed room filled with cheering fans, family members and friends. Obama especially commended the players' ability to play as a team and said because of that ability, they were able to "do something special right away.
