Rhiann Marie Webster Mike and Rhonda Webster of Wilmore announce the birth of their daughter, Rhiann Marie Webster. Rhiann Marie was born at 8 a.m. on June 5 at Saint Joseph East in Lexington. She weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. She was welcomed home by brother Waylon Webster. Her maternal grandparents are Harold and Sherri Rainwater of Wilmore. Her paternal grandparents are Willard and Margaret Webster of Versailles. Bricen Cole Camps Steve Camps and Ashley Lane announce the birth of their son, Bricen Cole.

James Lloyd Reed, 83, of Hustonville, died, Tuesday, Feb. 10 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. A native of Moccasin Creek, he was born Friday, Nov. 13, 1925, to the late Willard and Dolly Marie Buster Reed. He was a World War II and Korean Conflict veteran, Mason, police officer, employee of Danville Water, member of Green River Pentecostal Church, and widower of Bette Clinebell Reed. Survivors include sons, James (Debbie) Reed, Jr. and Tony (Brenda)

Wayneth Norfleet, 71, of Nancy, died Tuesday, June 24, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. A native of Nancy, he was born Sept. 8, 1936 to the late Willard and Bessie Tarter Norfleet. He was retired from the Property Value Administration Office, a member of the White Oak Baptist Church, and enjoyed his grandchildren, woodworking, and farming. Survivors include his wife, Jill Price Norfleet; a daughter, Amy (Tony) Cress of Nancy; a brother, Lowell Norfleet of Taylor, Mich.

To the editor, The $2,100 the taxpayers spent on a traffic study was apparently thown in the trash. Can a small town like Nicholasville afford to be throwing away money? The cops don't run radar on my street anymore, I guess now I'll wait and see if someone runs through my house and kills me, my husband or my kids. Who will be the next wreck on Oak Street and Central Avenue ... we'll just have to wait and see. Bobby Joe Todd, 76, of Eubank, passed away Monday, Sept. 24, at his residence. Born July 16, 1936, in Willailla, Bobby was a son of the late George and Mary McKinney Todd. He was a carpenter. Bobby enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, family, friends, and all his little animals, especially his little dog "Baby Girl". He was  also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Epperson. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Janice Epperson Todd; two daughters, Anita Bray and Vickie (Robby)

LANCASTER - Facing a murder charge for more than two years, Dwayne Nave worked a deal with prosecutors to plead guilty to reckless homicide and be sentenced to five years in jail. Nave, the former Garrard County emergency management director, entered the plea Friday before Judge Hunter Daugherty. Formal sentencing will be July 2 in Garrard Circuit Court. Nave was intoxicated and driving a county-owned SUV in April 2007 when he crashed into a pickup truck driven by Willard Quinn on U.S. 27 near Bryantsville.

Bridany Hasley of Lexington announces the birth of her son Willard Lee, born at 3:45 a.m. on April 24, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. He was welcomed home by aunts and uncles. The maternal grandparents are Tammy and Lee Gibbins of Lexington. Other family members include a great-grandmother Cleda Hasley and great-aunts and uncles Missy, Maurice, Eddie, Amy, Johnny, Jackie and several cousins from Nicholasville.

Hiram Willard Campbell, Chief Master Sergeant, Retired USAF, age 60 of Izmir, Turkey died June 4, 2005. A native of Lincoln Co., he was born June 30, 1944 to Hiram Campbell of Ottawa and the late Mildred Williams Lough. He was a 1962 graduate of Crab Orchard High School, served 4 years in the United States Navy - 1963-67, 26 years in the United States Air Force - 1967-93 and as Chief of Police and Senior Enlisted Advisor while stationed in Turkey. Upon retirement, he moved and settled in Izmir, Turkey.

Willard Dale Ashcraft, 74, of Hustonville, died Sunday, Nov. 25. A native of Dearborn County, Ind., he was born Sept. 3, 1933 to the late David M. Ashcraft and Mary Agnes Sullivan Ashcraft. He had worked as a shipping supervisor for Thatcher Glass in Lawrenceburg, Ind., (now Anchor Glass) and Foster-Forbes in Marion, Ind., and was a veteran of the Air Force. Survivor include his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Smith Ashcraft of Hustonville; one son, Jimmy Dale Ashcraft of Lawrenceburg, Ind; one daughter, Deborah Disbro of Aurora, Ind.; two stepsons, Kevin Powers of Lawrenceburg, Ind., and Brian Powers of Gravel Switch; one brother, Donald Ashcraft of Celina, Ohio; one sister, Hazel Oberting of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; and four step grandchildren.

Willard Jones, 84, of Cincinnati, Ohio died Monday, Sept. 29 at East Galbraith Health Care Center in Dear Park, Ohio. A native of Lincoln County, he was born Saturday, Feb. 2, 1924 to the late Dave and Liza Wright Jones. He was a machinist, worked at 3-C's from 1937-38, was a member of the I.A.M. Union, and a past member of the Michigan National Guard. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was also preceded in death by four brothers Earl, Walter, Oran, and Clyde Jones; and two sisters Lida Hale and Maria Warren.

Noted literary critic Willard Spiegelman has been selected to give the 2006 Bastian Lecture at Centre College. The free lecture, titled "A Poet's Life in Letters: The Case of Amy Clampitt," will take place at 8 p.m. Thursday in the board room at the Norton Center for the Arts. Poet Amy Clampitt became known relatively late in life. In fact, she was 63 years old when she published her first book of poetry, "The Kingfisher. " Born and brought up in Iowa, Clampitt graduated from Grinnell College and spent most of her adult life in New York City.
